by the darkness from behind

the devil showed me greens and reds
when all i got's the blues
now i never been a sinner
always been an honest man
but i said "you got a deal"
and i shook the devil by the hand

well satan stayed unto his word
to me he never lied
now i got gold and paper bills
but nothing left inside
'cause outside i got riches
but within it's just a hole
'cause no amount of money
can replace what was my soul
